John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

 

 

 

“WHAT WORK DID JESUS FINISH” that God gave him to do?

 

1. John 1:29, He removed all sin from applying to mankind.

 

2. John 15:3, Jesus cleans all men via His Word.

 

3a. Isaiah 49:6, Jesus must CALL and SAVE “all men” losing nothing, John 6:39.

 

3b. John 5:25-28, 10:27-28, 7:34.  All men follow him to God’s Throne “room”, Romans 14:7-12.

 

4. Isaiah 49:8 Jesus is God's NEW COVENANT for Our FAMILY.  He encompasses  (covers) ALL.

 

5a. Isaiah 45:13 and 49:23-24. He shall free all men from demonic captivity in the pit of hell

 

5 b. Luke 2:34, and Matthew 13:30.  When the sheep/wheat are removed, the tares are left behind

 

6. Psalms 2:6-8 Jesus is given the entire planet and everything in it and on it as a possession and a payment from Creator-God for a job well-done.

 

7. Psalms 110 Jesus is made King over the Earth and a High Priest and a Judge over devils imprisoned in the pit.

 

8. Isaiah 52:13-15 Jesus shall teach (enlighten) men in the mysteries of God.

 

9. John 8:12 and Matthew 28:20  "Jesus is the light of the world", period!

 

10. Luke 9:51-56 Jesus’ work is to SAVE THE WORLD OF MANKIND, even if they reject him in this life, John 12:47.

 

Some of you might not like Jesus even more when you take a closer look at his face!  Yes, people “he is ALL THAT” written in the texts above.

 

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

 

Hey, Jesus!  Aren’t you supposed to be a judge, who destroys the enemies of God?

 

Jesus:  “Now that you asked, you are right”!

 

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

 

Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

 

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

 

All demonic tares or evil spirits clinging to the bodies of men are the “sons of perdition” confined in the pit of hell while they await the lake of fire.

 

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

 

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

 

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. 22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

 

If you are an evil spirit/ tare/ “son of perdition”, Jesus is a burning fire to you!  He is determined to make you fall down and stay down until you disappear in the lake of fire.

 

Revelation 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
